You Are Not Your Own
Navigate faith, sexuality and identity with a compassionate outlook
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
— I Corinthians 6:19-20 RSV
Scriptural guidance
This platform serves as a resource center where visitors can explore and understand God’s divine intentions for human identity and sexuality through a biblical lens. Here, you will find comprehensive resources designed to provide clear, scriptural insights into the complexities of modern identity challenges. Our aim is to equip individuals with knowledge and understanding that affirm the sanctity of the family unit, the sacredness of our bodies, and the purposeful design of our relationships.
God, in His love for us, has shown us the meaning and importance of families through the natural world around us and also through His Word. His Word gives us important guidance concerning the foundation of the family, on sexual behavior, and on the importance of making right choices and decisions concerning these things. The family is based on God’s creation of human beings created in His likeness, both male and female. The strength of the emotional and sexual bonds in marriage are crucial to the strength of the family unit and the growth of godly children that God desires.
God has a purpose and a future for each of His children. That purpose may include being part of a nuclear family as husband or wife and possibly children but also, it may not. God’s provision and purpose for some may be a single, celibate life, yet everyone belongs to God’s family. Our primary purpose is to serve Him whether that includes marriage and children or not. He will direct our lives and provide for our needs if we turn our lives and wills over to Him.
